™ Character's Personality: Seishirou is cruel, unfeeling assassin. To the world he appears happy and calm, but that’s just a ruse to hide his true nature.
™ Character's Background: He was born into the Sakurazukamori clan of assassins/dark Onmyouji, a clan that's job is to kill to feed the Sakura trees, to Setsuka Sakurazuka. Seishirou never knows or wants to knows the identity of his father. Because the Sakurazukamori are supposed to love and cherish nothing, they are taken from their families as babies so that the bonds of family do not form. It's a process of dehumanization, of turning them into emotionless killers. This happened to Seishirou, and he never got to see his mother because he was too young to remember her when he was taken away. When Seishirou was 9, he was allowed to see his mother for the first time. He was told by Setsuka that he would be the one to kill her, and she seems pleased. She tells Seishirou that she loves him, and he accepts it without really having an understanding of the concept of love. Fulfilling the prophecy, Seishirou kills his mother at age 15 and takes over as head of the Sakurazukamori.

Later, while burying the corpse of a small girl under a sakura tree, Seishirou meets a very young Subaru Sumeragi. He asks the boy if he knows why the leaves on the tree are pink, and when Subaru says no he tells him that the color is caused by the blood of the dead bodies buried underneath the trees. Due to the Sakurazukamori rule that dictates the death of anyone who may witness their work, Subaru might have died right then and there. But instead, Seishirou decides to make a deal, or bet, with the child. However, the wind starts to blow and Subaru is not able to hear most of what Seishirou says. After he makes the bet, Seishirou proceeds to kiss the backs of Subaru's hands, causing them to be marked with inverted pentragrams, signifying him as prey for the Sakurazukamori. Subaru's grandmother soon after places gloves and a spell to shield Subaru's hands.

Years later, when Subaru is 16, he meets Seishirou again as a veterinarian. Being that his memory was wiped of the encounter, he has no idea of the seemingly friendly man's true identity. They become friends quickly, and Seishirou even claims to love the boy.

One year after, Seishirou loses his right eye protecting Subaru from attack. This is around the same time their bet was meant to be settled and Subaru is pulled into another illusion while visiting Seishirou in the hospital. He discovers the bet made between them, and that the boy from long ago had in fact been Seishirou. Seishirou's claims to have felt as much for Subaru as he had for the corpse at his feet, and is going to torture Subaru and sacrifice him to the sakura tree. However, Subaru's grandmother breaks through the illusion and is crippled as a result. Subaru then goes into a coma.

Shortly after, Subaru's sister Hotuko poses as her brother and goes to hunt down Seishirou, having suspected the connection between him and the assassin clan. She sacrifices her life for Subaru, awakening him from his sleep and casting a spell in an attempt to protect him from the Sakurazukamori.

Seishirou becomes a Dragon of Earth, those set to destroy the world so that it may be purified. He does this in accordance with his destiny.
